Barcode-IT Partners With Perceptor
Barcode-IT have partnered with Perceptor Inspection Technologies to enable us to provide their Perceptor IoT label inspection and verification system to our customers. Compatible with both Zebra ZT600 and TSC Printronix T8000 and T6000e printers with the ODV-2D, Perceptor IoT provides all the label inspection and verification features needed for label printing in both compliant and non-compliant industries, accessed through one user friendly touchscreen application.
Perceptor IoT comprises a desktop IoT device connected to the Perceptor label inspection camera, managed by the Perceptor IoT software which is securely accessed through Azure Single Sign On (SSO) or machine to machine self-signed certificates. With data security, integrity and availability at its core, Perceptor IoT auto-configures through the user licence and requires no specialist technical knowledge to integrate with your label printers. Perceptor IoT inspects every label in real-time to ensure print quality is maintained and duplicates are eliminated.
Ideal for companies working in regulated industries like pharmaceutical, medical devices, automotive, aerospace and defence, where various levels of labelling compliance is required, Perceptor IoT integrates with 3rd party labelling management and serialisation systems
and inspects and verifies labels at the time of print.
For more information on how Perceptor IoT's label inspection and verification system could benefit your business, contact us on 01200 441977 to arrange a demonstration.
Barcode-IT Resolves SAP Application Adoption Issue
When projects don't quite go to plan, it's always good to know that there's someone you can contact to get you out of a sticky situation -which is exactly what happened recently to one of our customers.
Barcode-IT originally provided Zebra Technologies hardware to this fibre optic cable manufacturer for their SAP S/4HANA EWM project back in 2022, but following issues with the SAP EWM mobile application created by their incumbent systems integrator, we were contacted by the customer again in late 2023. The mobile app had been deemed unusable by operators due to interface issues following the initial UK roll-out, which subsequently had stalled the roll-out of the project to further European sites and had become a "money pit".
Due to experience gained on past projects with this type of systems integrator, it had been communicated by Barcode-IT consultants that the application might not be fit for purpose during the initial hardware consultation, but sometimes the project is too far down the line or project managers are unwilling to accept the limitations of the application that has been purchased, so the project continued to go live in the UK.
After speaking to the customer about the challenges with adoption of the app, the Barcode-IT team brought in two different specialist SAP EWM mobile application partners to complete a site walk to see exactly how the operators were working and then recommend a best fit solution. Following visits to customers currently using each application, the customer chose the Rocket Mobile solution put forward by Rocket Consulting and are in the process of rolling out the mobile app following testing on their current TC8300 devices, the turnaround time of which was a matter of weeks, not months or years.
Rocket Mobile is compatible with SAP ECC, S/4HANA and SAP digital supply chain platforms and fully integrated into SAP without complex middleware, interfaces or external software platforms, bringing you the best of technical simplicity, improved usability and extended capability to SAP run businesses.
Barcode-IT take pride in the fact that we offer an honest and consultative approach when recommending solutions to our customers and will always advise them of the pros and cons of any solution before they commit to purchase. If you have a supply chain challenge that you'd like advice on, please contact us on 01200 441977 for a no obligation discussion.
