Preparing Your Business For Change: Are You Ready For Business Post COVID-19 Lockdown?

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted to us all, just how important it is to ensure that information about illness and health is communicated efficiently. One thing we can be sure of, is that additional measures will need to be put into place within businesses to protect both staff and visitors, and prevent the further spread of this, or any other virus in the future. Under the current regulations, the virus has made it crucial for workplaces to limit unnecessary person-to-person contact and potential transmission incidents. But once the lockdown is ended, it will become more important than ever that businesses have their own way of screening visitors and staff members coming into the building, to protect other employees and prevent further spread. We've put together a Blog post explaining how you can manage visitors and staff within your business once lockdown is lifted.

Security In The Cloud: How Can We Stay Safe When Using Cloud Applications?

We are all having our first real taste of Cloud based applications during the COVID-19 pandemic, and like all shiny new things it's interesting and fun to try, but there are plenty of "gotchas" along the way - security being probably the most important consideration. For example; we offer a Cloud-based labelling product called Label Cloud from NiceLabel, which is a method of distributing the ability to print labels to remote users (anywhere in the world), using their local printer and PC as the workstation. This data and label information can be highly sensitive, with any mistakes; either accidental or malicious, having painful and disastrous consequences for the business in question. So, how can we ensure our customer's information is secure when hosting a Label Cloud solution? Read our Blog post on what we discovered [here].

Take Advantage Of The Zebra Buy Back Programme And Trade In Your Old Units Today!

In a bid to increase their corporate social responsibility, Zebra Technologies have launched a Buy Back Programme for their MC31/MC32/MC91/MC92 mobile computer ranges. A major benefit of the buy back scheme is that money from old units can be put towards the cost of a hardware refresh. If you're considering an upgrade to Android and have any of the above models, then this is the ideal time to get in touch to see what kind of savings you could make. Following the buy back of these devices, Zebra will assess the models for refurbishment, parts supply and recycling, to enable them to support customers, who are unable to refresh their devices at this time. If you're not in a place to refresh hardware, we have options to purchase refurbished units or to get units repaired. For more information on the Buy Back Programme, Refurbished Units or Repair, call us on 01200 441977.

Complex Barcode Printing From SAP S/4HANA Doesn't Need To Be Difficult

With a number of our SAP customers upgrading to S/4HANA, Barcode-IT have been looking at the implications of this on printing complex barcode labels. Normally, this would be handled by the SAP spooler system and printed to a predesignated label printer on the network, however in an increasing number of cases, the complex and changing nature of labelling requirements, means that the normal methods of creating barcode labels "inside SAP" become unworkable, too expensive or have excessive SAP development time. To find out how to overcome these label printing issues, please click [here] to read our Blog post on the subject or call for more information on 01200 441977.
