Datamax-O'Neil MP Compact4 Mobile Printer

Mobile printing can help boost employee productivity and accuracy, as barcode labels, receipts or tickets can be printed reliably and quickly anywhere, at any time, even in harsh and demanding environments. Time wasted walking back and forth to a fixed position printer can quickly reduce the efficiency of staff within the warehouse, costing the business time and therefore money.

Within a warehouse environment mobile printing can help to reduce labelling errors at cross docking and shipping/receiving by labelling products on-the-spot. Stock handlers can use forklift-mounted or worn mobile printers for picking and putaway operations, cross-dock incoming shipments and generate shipping labels at parcel pickup in the field or anywhere within the distribution facility.

Many mobile printers are not able to cope with the harsh conditions encountered when attached to a forklift truck. The vibrations alone can mean frequent failures causing downtime and reduced productivity.

Datamax O'Neil have a solution to this problem in the form of the MP Compact4 mobile printer, that has been specifically designed for installation onto forklift trucks and mobile stations. It is able to operate from a connection to a forklift's battery and its vibration-proof design makes it the perfect choice for warehousing logistics.

Features at a glance:

  • Small but mighty: The Compact4 has an incredibly small footprint, which allows them to be used in applications where space is limited, like narrow-aisle trucks. Although less than half the size of a traditional desktop, the Compact4 has the same duty cycle and power.

  • Rugged: Constructed from a solid cast metal frame and die cast metal cover, the Compact4 is built to withstand the rigours of a warehouse or high volume printing application.

  • Shock & Vibration Ready: A special anti-vibration, quick-lock mounting plate designed uniquely for forklift trucks makes the Compact4 stand out from competitor units. The printer runs on 24-48 VDC and connects directly to the forklift battery.

  • Media Loading: Large levers make media loading easy to manage - in fact it can be done single-handed whilst wearing gloves! There are no covers to open, the paper is simply slotted through the side of the printer.

  • Orientation: Compact4 printers can be used in almost any orientation. The design of the printer and the special mounting plates allow the printer to be used in the normal upright position, mounted vertically on the wall or even mounted upside down.

  • Software: Compact4 printers use DPL (Datamax Printer Language) but offer ZPL (Zebra), IPL (Intermec) and BPL (Brady) emulation capabilities.
